“Family Reserve” is the new Top of the Castelfeder quality pyramid and highlights the historic Cru site Kreuzweg in the best vintages. Castelfeder's new top wine, a Chardonnay Riserva, originates its name from the Cru in the heart of the village of Margreid, which is historically the best growing area for this variety in entire South Tyrol. In a limited edition of only 1,400 bottles, this wine reflects the characteristics of this this special terroir.
Since 1989 the "Burgum Novum" label represents the premium wines of Castelfeder. These wines are the maximum expression of intense work and care from the vineyard to the cellar and are grown in the most prestigious vineyards in Alto Adige. After a careful aging process for 18 months in small oak barrels, all Riserva wines are going for another 12 months in the bottle before being released.
The single vineyard project places the vineyard locations of Buchholz, Glen and Mazon on center stage. In spite of the geographical proximity and the different altitudes of the vineyards, the Giovanett family succeeds in highlighting the different nuances and producing three wines of strong character.

The site around the Karneid estate in Salurn is also highlighted with this vintage. After more than 20 years of separate vinification of the grapes from Villa Karneid, the Giovanett family wanted to bring this historic site into focus by having it registered as "Vigna" in the official Italian vineyard register.

Young and fresh… this slogan joins the white and red wines of this line. 2 cuvées represent the young generation of the winery as well as the four classics (Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Nero) in a modern and refreshing version.
TECUM “Tecum” lat. together is the expression of elegance and harmony. A connection of two strong characters of the wine world in search of perfect balance. With respect to the natural cycle of the vine, this wine remains “sur lies” (on the yeast) for 12 months in stainless steel with a small part in barrique. Therefore, it reaches a natural stability and a complex and rich aromatic compound. Each bottle is numbered by hand.
